Advanced Open Water

SSI's Advanced Diver rating stands alone in the
industry with the highest combination of diving knowledge and
experience. To earn the certification for Advanced Open Water Diver,
you must complete 4 specialty courses and have done a total of 24
dives.
Our Advanced Open Water Course includes Deep, Wreck, Night and Navigation. These
courses will be taught over a two day period starting at 6:00 pm at
Dolphin Dive Center. On Tuesday night we will go over Deep and Wreck in class and we will cover Night and Navigation on Thursday night.
We
will also have an optional pool session at the YWCO on a Sunday night following
the class at 6:30 pm. This date will be discussed further during your
class!

Stress and Rescue
August 24th and August 26th

Stress
is a major contributor to rescue situations and diving accidents. You
can improve your diving confidence and enjoyment by learning to
recognize situations that lead to problems and to handle problem
situations with special techniques.
Learn the basics of:
- The causes and prevention of stress
- Detecting and dealing with diving-related stress in yourself and your buddy
- Accident management procedures
- Rescue skills that assist the victim, while protecting yourself
- Simple, yet effective search patterns
- Dealing with situations that complicate rescues
Join us in the classroom
Tuesday and Thursday night at Dolphin Dive Center for quality
instruction. Then join us at the YWCO swimming pool for training on Sunday September 5th at 6:30 pm.
Stress and Rescue also requires
an open water training session. We will further discuss this during
your classroom instruction (Currently planning for either September
11th or September 12th at Lake Jocassee).
*Price does not include open water checkout dive or Certification Card. It only covers the book, classroom and pool sessions.
Nitrox
(Offered every other month... Private classes may be arranged)

In our Nitrox course you will learn:
- Physics and physiology of Nitrox
- How to analyze Nitrox cylinders
- Planning Nitrox dives
- Using Nitrox computers
- Managing exposure to nitrogen
- 32 and 36 percent Nitrox (and other mixes)
- O2 clean and O2 service rated equipment

Cavern Diving Course *This is a NEW course*

This course will add a whole new dimension to your diving adventures!
You will learn to emphasize the following:

- Focus on the specialized needs of the cavern diver
- How to work in no visibility
